Application for Residency
In order to become a resident for Room For Ruth, each applicant must complete an Application for Residency.
Room For Ruth
Room For Ruth offers a warm, safe place for women who are seeking a new beginning and gives new hope and encouragement. Our desire is to provide physical, emotional, and Christian spiritual care and shelter to women who are homeless or hungry to get control of their life. We will assist each woman in finding solutions to problems with skills that provide strength for positive life changes. Women will find support and a sense of belonging to a family at Room For Ruth.
Room For Ruth is a place where we desire to bring the Lord into the lives of women who are struggling with their lives and can’t make sense out of a world that has turned its back on them; we want to provide hope, refuge, and strength.
The following choices are recommended and will be encouraged for the benefit of each resident.
- Residents are encouraged to perform a community service at least once a week while unemployed. There will be a list of places needing volunteers provided.
- Every resident is encouraged to attend a church service on Saturday or Sunday. You may choose the church of your choice.
- Romantic involvement is highly discouraged. Remember you are here in a crisis situation; you are here for you.
