We are a non-profit organization utilizing inter-faith networking for the purpose of providing a temporary home for women seeking a new beginning: to offer shelter, refuge, coaching and positive life style choices to women who want to rebuild, reorganize, and reestablish their lives in our community.
OBJECTIVE
THE PEOPLE WE WILL SERVE
The residents of Room For Ruth are women over the age of 18 (sorry we are not able to house children) who have made a commitment to change their lives with positive solutions and goals. Most of our residents are referred to Room For Ruth after completing a drug and alcohol treatment plan. However, we will offer help to any women who is willing to work within the rules of our program and are in a homeless situation. All applicants must be willing to make a 4-month commitment to our program.
Room For Ruth operates with a Board of Directors that set policy and programs. The directors share responsibility for interacting with the residents. Loving, encouraging, Christian ideals will be at the heart of this interaction. Our volunteer team will provide a friendly ear, a life-filled response, and lots of old fashioned "mom-talk".
